Mt Taylor Ride on Sunday! May the 4th be with you!!
Don's Mt Taylor ride is full on May 3rd, so I'm posting another ride to the same area on Sunday, May 4th. We can't go tho Green River this year, so I'm leading a club day ride.
Meet at Sky City Casino at 8 am, Gas up at the Phillips 66 gas station, Then drive over to the big parking lot just north of the Casino Hotel for meeting. Leave at 8:30 am sharp!
We will drive 5 miles of highway, then turn north on to dirt and air down.
Low range up the rough climb, lunch somewhere, then drive to the top of Mt Taylor. Back down to the air up spot, where the pavement starts. Then it's a short drive back down to Grant's NM. Everyone can drive back to Albuqueruque, on their own.
What you need for this ride. Easy to moderate roads.
Recovery points front and back, air pump to air up your tires, GMRS radio, low range, good clearance, good off road tires, food and water, chairs, camera, and prepared for a full day off road. If you don't have a GMRS radio, not a problem, Just get in the middle of the group. We will stop for restroom breaks, doggie breaks, lunch, and great views. Channel 4 GMRS.
