Participant Responsibility Notice
New Mexico 4-Wheelers guests and members will be meeting for a group activity as indicated below. Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of their own vehicles and should evaluate obstacles based on their own comfort and experience level and vehicle capability.
This is a volunteer recreational activity. Participants are responsible for their own safety, vehicle operation, and compliance with land-use rules.
Jemez Ride! Mystery Route!
Explore forest roads in the cool mountains. SUNDAY!! ALL DAY RIDE. Bring food, water, camera, chairs. Low Range gear box, Off road tires, Air down and air up equipment. Recovery equipment, Full tank of gas. Possible pinstripping in tight vegetation areas. Rain or shine, so could be muddy sections.
Dress for high altitude mountain weather. GMRS radio for comm. Meet at 9 am, leave at 9:30 AM. Back to pavement around 4:30 or 5:00 pm, somewhere, Then everyone can drive on back home, from somewhere. Or camp out somewhere before or after the ride.
Multiple routes to choose from. Trail leader will make decision on route based on weather, road conditions, tea leaves, astrology, gut feelings, which way the wind blows, or laying out the MVU Map on the floor, in the dark, and dropping a peanut M & M's on the map. Or a combination of the above mentioned techniques. Don't worry, we will have a good time where ever we go, It's the Jemez Mts!
