18 NM4W rigs set out from San Isidro for a relaxing day exploring the eastern end of the Jemez, along Peralta Ridge. We had hoped to venture far enough east to get a view of Tent Rocks but discovered a section of road now closed by Santo Domingo Pueblo, so we turned back and went Wanderlusting instead. We turned off and went down a hill and through the woods into an area that needs to be explored further. We got far enough to find a 4WD trail that suddenly turned into a goat trail. We tried to navigate to the Cerro Pelado overlook but were thwarted by a disconnect between the MVUM, which showed a trail to follow, and the absolute lack of said trail on the ground. More exploring needs to be done on numerous offshoot trails we passed along the way! Our NM4W peeps came to the rescue for one flat tire and one broken rear sway bar bracket. It was a chill day, mostly in 2H, but a great day spent with friends out in the wilds.
